Privacy Policy
ZeroHour, by Logic Lab 406 LLC. Effective October 23, 2026.
ZeroHour is built to work without knowing who you are. There is no account, no sign-up and no email address. This policy explains the little we store and why.
What ZeroHour stores on our server
To send you alerts, the app registers an anonymous device with our server, which runs on Cloudflare. For that device we store:
- a random device ID and a hashed secret (so only your phone can change its settings)
- your push notification address, if you turn notifications on
- your platform (iOS) and your alert settings: the vendors and products you picked, and which alert types you want
- alerts you marked as fixed or ignored
- if you subscribe to ZeroHour Pro, when your subscription ends and its App Store transaction ID
- webhook URLs you add (ZeroHour Pro), with the result of the last delivery, so alerts can be posted there; they are deleted with your data
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location, and we do not sell or share this data. Our server logs may briefly record IP addresses for security and abuse prevention.
Deleting your data
Open Settings › Delete my data in the app. This deletes your device and its settings from our server right away and resets the app. Deleting the app alone stops notifications, and the server stops using a push address once Apple reports it no longer works, but your settings stay until you use Delete my data.
Notifications
Push notifications are delivered through the Expo push service and Apple Push Notification service, which receive your push address and the alert text only to deliver it.
Webhooks
If you add a webhook, ZeroHour posts alert text to the address you choose (for example Slack, Microsoft Teams or Discord). Those services handle the message under their own privacy policies.
Purchases
ZeroHour Pro is bought through Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple gives the app a signed record of the subscription, which our server checks to turn Pro on.
Advertising
The free version shows one small banner ad from Google AdMob on the Alerts list. ZeroHour requests non-personalized ads only and does not ask to track you across other companies' apps and websites. To show and measure ads, Google may still collect device information, your IP address and approximate location, and ad interaction and performance data, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. ZeroHour Pro has no ads.
Vulnerability data
Alerts come from public sources: CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, the National Vulnerability Database and Red Hat's security data.
Children
ZeroHour is a tool for IT professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
